PTFA Pumpkin competition

Hopefully you have all had lots of fun trying to grow your pumpkins, giving them lots of care and attention!
Judging for the pumpkin competition will take place on Thursday, 22nd October looking to find the biggest pumpkin and those with the best drawn faces.  Children are asked to bring their pumpkin to the school office entrance just before 9.00am with their name on it.  Selections of prizes are up for grabs and will be given out in Friday’s Gold Book Assembly!  The pumpkins can be collected at the end of the day.  Thanks
Rupert Lown

Parking

Just a reminder that we ask for your cooperation with parking near to the school.  We know how difficult it is to secure a parking spot when you need to drop children off and pick them up.  However, we have had numerous complaints in the past from local residents when people have been discourteous.  It is time consuming having to stop what we are doing to deal with complaints of this nature.

KS2 Healthy Snack at Playtime

Following on from our recent successful revalidation as a healthy school, I thought this would be a good moment to remind everyone about giving children a healthy snack at morning break.  The government already provide fruit for our KS1 children and we would encourage our KS2 children to eat a similarly healthy snack.  As part of our PSHE programme we work with the children to develop an awareness of food nutrition and the need to avoid sugary and fatty foods.  We hope, therefore, that you can support us in this way with the type of snack that the children bring in for break. Thanking you in anticipation,
Helen Knowles Healthy Schools coordinator.

Netball Club

Unfortunately there will not be any Netball club until after half term.  On Tuesday I shall be busy preparing for Parents Consultations.  Netball Club will start again on Tuesday 3rd November (weather permitting!)
