Dear Parents/Guardians

Children In Need 2007 - Do Something Different
We are pleased to let you know that the amount raised for Children In Need was £408.51 and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support.

School Council Logo

Our School Council met with Mr Taylor and Mrs Banning (PTFA) and voted for the new School Council Logo. We received many contributions and thank all those children who sent in their ideas. After much debate between the School Council a logo was decided upon and will feature soon within a newsletter. The winning logo was designed by Hannah Cook from Year 3. We congratulate her on this achievement.

In second place: Claire Borgartz (Year 6)
In third place: Duncan Bradley (Year 6)

The following candidate's logos were highly recommended by the School Council and PTFA:

Orla Convery (Year 5) Katie Pinder (Year 1) Andrew Russell (Year 6)
Luke Rawson (Year 5) Megan Goodey (Year 5) Lousie Hayman (Year 6)
Eloise Perry (Year 4) Cara Butcher (Year 3) Emma Alcock (Year 6)
Hannah Bickham (Year 3) Joe Stevens (Year 3) Kitty Attwood (Year 2)

Head lice

We have received another Information Leaflet regarding Head Lice Treatment, a copy of which accompanies this newsletter. Although we can in no way endorse this product, we have received favourable comments about this particular comb, so if you are looking to purchase a similar item, it may be worth looking at the web site.

Mid-day assistants needed

We currently have vacancies for Mid-Day Assistants in school. If you are interested in joining our team please call at the office for further information. The hours of work are 12 noon - 1.15pm Monday to Friday.

The KS2 Choir are currently preparing for this year's Carols by Candlelight service. We would like to extend the rehearsals from 4:00 to 4:15 until the end of term. The last choir practise will be on Monday 10th December and will begin again on Monday 14th January at the usual times. @Carols by Candlelight Service@ will be on Thursday 13th December. A letter will be sent home shortly explaining all the details.

They are holding a free evening for under 7s (Year 2) and under 8s (Year 3) who wish to go along and play football for 1 ½ hours.
