Dear Parents/Guardians
KS1 Nativity – The Grumpy Sheep
What a wonderful Key Stage 1 Nativity we had this year. There was lots of great singing, dancing and acting. A huge well done for all the children that took part, everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. The support that was received from parents and members of staff to make this possible was excellent and it just shows what a wonderful school and community we have.
The school would also like to say a special thank you to all the parents who supported our Key Stage 1 Nativity ‘The Grumpy Sheep’ and gave a donation for our charity of the year ‘Farleigh Hospice’. We have currently raised £143.17 after Thursday’s performance.
St. Mary’s support Charity for the Year
The charity that we have decided to support this year is Farleigh Hospice which focuses on providing support for families and is currently working on a project called ‘Light up a Life’. More details can be found on www.farleighhospice.org. Any money raised this year will go towards supporting Farleigh Hospice.
Carols by Candlelight
The Carols by Candlelight Service will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday, 13th December and starts at 7.00pm. This involves a variety of musical performances from the choir, orchestra, ensembles and congregational carols. You are welcome to come and join us.
Santa’s Chimney Chocolate Draw
If you’ve still got some Santa’s chimney bricks to hand in or chocolate to donate, get a move on! Today is the deadline for the Santa’s chimney chocolate draw but any outstanding bricks or chocolate donations can still be brought to school on Monday. So get busy to sell, sell, sell (bricks) or buy, buy, buy (chocolate) at the weekend. Thank you for your support.

Green Team News 2
We were very lucky with the weather last week while more tubs were planted. The children had a great time plating the plants, hiding the bulbs and watering the tubs. This week after school we are making the bird fat and seed feeders ready to hang around the grounds next week when they are set. Don’t forget after Christmas on the weekend of 5th January when we will be improving the wildlife area and making a composting bin.
Yours sincerely
Mr S Taylor
Acting Headteacher
