Dear Parents/Guardians

Carols by Candlelight

The Carols by Candlelight Service at St. Mary’s Church was a huge success, well done to the children that took part from the Choir and Orchestra – you are a credit to our school.  Thank you for everyone who came to support this enjoyable event. A special mention is needed to all those people who helped make this possible – Miss Sewell, Miss Taylor, Mrs Bilborough, Mrs Boddy, Mrs Elliott, Father David and Organist, Mr Ron Woods.

KS1 Nativity – The Grumpy Sheep supports Farleigh Hospice

The total amount raised from the two Grumpy Sheep performances was £390.54. A huge thank you to all parents who contributed over the two performances.

Santa’s Chimney Chocolate Draw

Thank you to everyone who sold Santa’s chimney bricks and donated choccies.  The draw has raised a fantastic £800 for the school and more than 220 chocolate prizes have been handed out to the children today.  We were lucky enough to have Father Christmas himself visit today’s assembly to see the children.  And every child is coming home with a chocolate coin, courtesy of Santa…and the PTFA!

                                              Christmas Cracker Reminder

Just to remind you that next Tuesday, 18th December we will be celebrating Christmas dinner in the hall and would ask parents to provide a Christmas Cracker for their child (spares are appreciated).

Dinner and Milk Money

Amounts due for the next half term are as follows:

            Dinner Money - £47.25

            Milk Money     - £3.78

   KS1 Mornings

Can we remind parents that Year 1 and 2 children should walk straight into their classroom after the morning bell has sounded at 9.00am.

Outdoor Water Fountains

The outdoor water fountains are now going to be turned off due to the freezing weather condition. It is paramount that your child brings a water bottle into school so that they can still use the indoor water fountains and have regular drinks.

Thank you

Mid-day assistants Needed

We still have a vacancy for a Mid-Day Assistant in school.  If you are interested in joining our team please call at the office for further information.  The hours of work are 12 noon – 1.15pm Monday to Friday.

Cold Weather Reminder from the Mid-Day Assistants

The weather is getting colder and colder and during the lunch break children without appropriate cold-weather clothing are feeling it. Please try and ensure that all children come to school with appropriate cold-weather clothing e.g. coat, fleece, hat, gloves etc.

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Mr S Taylor
